Have you been searching for a psychedelic, therapeutic, or spiritual guide but don't know how to find someone who is safe, trustworthy, and a good fit for you? Essentially, have you been looking for the perfect shaman?
How might the perfect shaman behave, what are they like? Find out at this one-of-a-kind event with "the perfect shaman"!
The first topic will be use of the word “shaman”: What does it really mean? Where does it come from? Is it used appropriately?
Dr. Sandra will role play the of the shaman and take questions from the audience. She will answer the question as either a good shaman, a bad shaman, or something in between! There will be discussion about each particular situation/question from many points of view including ethics, safety, healing potential, set/setting, and more.
Please write out 2 to 4 questions you have been wanting to ask a shaman and bring them to this workshop. This is an unprecedented opportunity to learn about what makes a good shaman/facilitator/guide/guru in person.
This workshop is led by Dr. Sandra Dreisbach.
BIO:
Dr. Sandra Dreisbach is an Ethicist and Psychedelic Ethics specialist with a MA, Phd in Philosophy exploring Ethical Decision Making and Moral Psychology. She is an Ethics Advisor active in Psychedelic Integration, Therapy, Education and Advocacy as well as a Psychedelic facilitator and leader of the Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society. Sandra also teaches Bioethics at University of California, Santa Cruz for the Biomolecular Engineering and Philosophy Departments, has worked for many years in the tech industry primarily at Apple, and is a Reiki Master in two lineages.
Sandra focuses on listening and uplifting the voices and values of the Psychedelic Community especially the disenfranchised with the heart space intention of compassion and love.

Thymele Arts is on the North East corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Western on the Second Floor. The entrance is on Santa Monica Blvd. There is limited parking in a small lot off of Western. There may be a parking fee at this lot. Otherwise there is street parking. We recommend ride-sharing!

Social/mingle until 3:00 pm
TICKETS: $39 (general community contribution) or $50 (contribution + non-profit donation) in advance. $45 at the door. Fees are covered by PsychedeLiA Integration.
